Aerodynamics in F1

The front wing of a late McLaren F1 car. Yes, this front wing may be the result of the illegal posession of Ferrari designs; but I dunno if this is worth close to 100$million (which is the fine McLaren had to pay because they - illegally - had Ferrari plans).
Nevertheless, I've been to this year's Bahrain F1, and the aerodynamics of this years cars are outrageous! Go Massa!

Ancient Hadramout

The one who added this on YouTube says these buildings are in the "old city of Shibam, Hadramout," and that these buildings are "600-700 years old, the city itself is way older than that."

To visualize, I have prepared this pie chart. Please remember that 1US$ = 3.75SR. 500$ is 1875SR.

An iPod Timeline

I think the iPod is overrated. The models were never worth the prices. Notice that the vertical axis is Apple's stock price. 14X in 6.5 years! Also notice the maniac surge around the iPhone's release!

Thierry Henry

What can I say... All I know is that Arsenal is not any more what they were with him... Especially with these new younger players who lack the experience and the right plays when needed!

Your Connection Speed

For a cool website that does a good job of measuring your internet connection's download and upload speed. Check out: http://www.speedtest.net/.
It did a great job on a 256 kbps DSL connection, measuring its download at around 232 kbps. It does, on the other hand, vary if you have a much faster connection.

Test your Internet connection speed at Speedtest.net

CONFLICT!

When you read news on a couple of the current conflicts between entities in Muslim countries, in just one web-browsing session, it does hurt.
You get organizations and conferences held when it comes to bringing religions and political opinions closer. Well done, really. But very little pure, unbiased effort can be found on solving the uprising conflict found in AlIraq, Palestine (the two pieces of it!), Lebanon, etc.
Is it that easy, in these territories, to slip into one side? Is it that hard to forget the bloody recent events and start all over keeping peace in mind? Could all these conflicts have started because of being much more closer than different?
The idea of hating one another to death, because of minor differences, amongst Muslims seems absurd, but it seems so only to those who have total sensible control over their feelings of those minor differences, in contrast to those who choose to ignore the current situation, in whole.

Strong Statement in a Cartoon

In YouTube, this is titled "Hamas-Style Lion King Vanquishes Fatah Rats on Al-Aqsa TV."

Working in KACST

It's has been a while since I last posted.
For all those who I know, I would like to tell you that I have started my job in KACST and am very happy with the position and the environment that I am in. Alhamdu wa Alshokru Lillah.
I had expected to feel weird with having someone to call boss, and with the straight time I have to be in office. Nonetheless, I am blessed with more than i can imagine at these, and many other aspects.
Please pray for my tawfeeq and may Allah bestow the best for all Muslims.
Thanks to all.
Ahmed.
